Investigations of Rydberg series from photoionization processes of N3+, O4+, and Ar8+ ions

Popis: We report accurate energy resonances from the 1s 2 2s 2 1 S 0 →(2p nl ) 1 P° transitions in the Be-like N 3+ ions along with energy resonances of the 1s 2 2s2p 3 P 0 →1s 2 2p [ 2 P°] n p 3 P transitions in the Be-like N 3+ and O 4+ ions. Energy positions of the 1s 2 2s2p 6 ( 2 S 1/2 ) n p 1 P° Rydberg series of the Ar 8+ ions converging to the 1s 2 2s2p 6 ( 2 S 1/2 ) series limit in Ar 9+ are also reported. New energy resonances of the 1s 2 2p [ 2 P°] n p 3 P Rydberg series of the Be-like Mg 8+ , Si 10+ , and P 11+ ions are tabulated. Calculations are performed using the Screening Constant by Unit Nuclear Charge (SCUNC) method. Excellent agreements with available experimental and theoretical literature data are found. The present calculations provide benchmark data for the diagnosis and for the modeling of astrophysical and laboratory plasmas.
