Popis: A wide variety of organizational and control systems uniquely adapted to the Indian context are required for firms to successfully implement their chosen strategies in the Indian market. This chapter turns the reader’s attention to these critical aspects of strategy implementation. The description highlights issues such as the impact of culture on organization structure and efficacy, performance management approaches, and suitable compensation plans to fit the Indian context. Different strategies need different types of organizational structure for proper execution. This is complicated by the federalist nature of the system in India. Using the case of SAB Miller India, this chapter illustrates potential problems for companies in strategy execution. This chapter also highlights the balanced scorecard as an effective tool for implementing a control system, illustrating it with a case example.
