Popis:	Powder X-ray diffraction has been used to investigate the crystal structure of the Y-stabilized LZY82 zeolite in order to determine the location of exchanged cations and nonframework alumina species in the course of the Pd2+ exchange reaction. We have shown that there is competition between cations and nonframework species to occupy sodalite cages.
