Popis: The ll year sunspot cycle is but one manifestation of the variability in the atmospheric activity of the Sun. For other stars Wilson (1978) demonstrated cyclic behavior in the chromospheric output as measured by variation in the strength of the Ca II H and K lines. Attempts to identify cyclic behavior of photospheric starspots have met with little success, although a few stars have been found to change their starspot appearance from year to year. In this note we present results that indicate a variation in the flare activity of the solar neighborhood red dwarf AD Leo. It seems to be cyclic with a period of about 8.2 years.
