Popis:	The authors assessed the effectiveness of an association of prostaglandins (PgE1) and Ketanserine (K) in pharmacoprosthesis on 24 patients with erectile deficiency of various etiology. The association of 20 mcgr of PgE1 with K (from 2 to 6 mg) was more effective in inducing erection than only PgE1 at 40 mcgr dosage; in 3 patients the effectiveness was relatively equivalent. No relevant side effect was found except for a transitory hypotensive episode in a patient when the K maximum dosage was reached, which was resolved without the help of pharmacological therapy. Consequently, K can certainly be considered capable of strengthening the action of the PgE1 in inducing erection and, therefore, can be usefully associated with the latter whenever either a satisfactory erection hasn't taken place or the PgE1 dosage is to be reduced in order to lower costs.
