As the amount of stored crude oil increased with the development of the petroleum industry, Self-ignition in the Oil tank has become one of the most serious safety problems that affect the sustainable development of national economy in China. In order to achieve a more efficient approach to detect accurately fire source position of spontaneous combustion oil tank so that the fire disaster can be prevented as early as possible, it is of importance to study the detection technique of the spontaneous fire position. A model of heat transfer was proposed. The simulation results of thermal modeling show the higher temperature of the fire source is, the faster changes of temperature curve are. The results show that detecting the spontaneous fire position by infrared technique is a feasible means and detection technology is introduced. |
