This study is a demonstration of abilities of virtual prototyping to assess product variants at early stage of design development. It shows how a motivated descision could be found using evaluation of certain important performance parameters. The focus is set on an actual product design – a LED device which is sensitive to work environment. Its thermal management directly influences important parameters as reliability and overall performance. Presented virtual prototyping includes multiphysics or – thermoCFD analyses – and it is used as a basis for further design development. |
