| Popis: | Core transient design methods of analyzing the dynamic effects of core assembly bowing, localized power perturbations and pellet-to-cladding gap conductance are described. The approaches developed have successfully been applied for design and safety evaluations on the Clinch River Breeder Reactor (CRBR) core; the same techniques can be readily applied to other core designs. Illustrative examples are provided for each of the special topics. |
