The incidence of this cancer is 225,500 diagnoses per year worldwide, and it is the leading cause of death in women with gynecological cancer. Most patients are diagnosed at an advanced stage and have a poor prognosis. Therefore, better management strategies are needed to improve outcomes for women with advanced ovarian cancer.
