The efficient tools warehouse is important for customer satisfaction. Then, the location assignment framework is also important to manage the layout and transportation time. This study introduces three steps of location assignment framework. First step, there are presented the data analysis from historical data and process. Second step, there are defined two models from two separate steps; time series forecasting and shelf layout. Final step, the simulation proposed shelf layout and the existing shelf layout by using Flexsim software are compared transportation time. The results demonstrate that the proposed shelf layout is reduced transportation time by 23.49%. Then, the proposed shelf layout is appropriated for tools layout in Chemical Manufacturing Company. |
