Popis: | Objectives: To compare a computerized version of a personality test with the traditional method and to investigate if specific traits of fibromyalgia personality do exist. Methods: One hundred and ten females with fibromyalgia syndrome performed a computer-administered version of the Cesarec Marke Presonality Schedule [CMPS]. The scores were compared to a group of fibromyalgia patients performing the traditional paper and pen method of CMPS. Results: There were no differences between the results of the computer tested and conventional tested groups in personality profile. Compared to a normative Swedish female population significant differences were found. Conclusions: The computer version of the CMPS can be used equivalent to the traditional method. Female fibromyalgia patients have a great need for Order but low needs for Exhibition, Autonomy and Aggressive non-conformance but other-wise only showed modest or no differences from a normative Swedish female population. |
