Popis: The thermal explosion theory is reformulated to describe a new technique for igniting explosives by rubblizing a small volume and adding a hypergolic liquid. Simple tools to quantitatively predict ignition or reaction failure were derived and then used to calculate the amount of hypergolic liquid needed for successful ignition in terms of the constitutive properties of the materials involved and characteristics of the system.
