Synthesis, structural analysis and vibrational spectroscopic study of YFeO3 perovskite

Popis:	Polycrystalline YFeO3 perovskite sample was synthesized using solid-state-reaction method. The sample was subsequently characterized using X-ray diffraction and Rietveld structural analysis method. Infra-red and Raman spectra over a spectral range within 50 to 800 cm−1 were recorded. Observed infra-red spectra showed a characteristic mode B3u at wave number 554 cm−1 of YFeO3. This mode may be due to the Fe-O stretching vibrations.
