Popis: | As a new therapeutic approach, we have attempted a high-dose intraperitoneal administration of MMC (40mg) and OK-432 (50KE) to control and prevent peritoneal dissemination in patients with gastric cancer. In the cases with peritoneal dissemination and even in the high risk group of peritoneal dissemination, significantly good survival rates were found in the high-dose MMC+OK-432 group as compared with that of the high-dose MMC group and the historical control group. It was of great therapeutic interest that MMC might exert a direct cytocidal effect and OK-432 might enhance the immune system against cancer cells in the peritoneal cavity. |
