A miniaturized & reconfigurable 3dB Branch Line coupler (BLC) is proposed in this paper. In order to do this different parameters of coupler are compared & improved. Based on the parametric analysis, a 3dB Branch Line coupler operating at 1.5 GHz is investigated and simulated. The return loss and isolation of proposed structure are better than conventional design. The reconfigurable structure proposed gives return loss of nearly −20dB. The power is equally divided among output ports, port 2 & port 3 which is nearly −3dB. The resultant bandwidth of the proposed design is narrower compared to that of the conventional coupler. The proposed structures are also fabricated Both the simulated & fabricated results are compared & they show good agreement with each other. The proposed coupler may find applications in L-band |
