Popis: Photomicroscopic contact nucleation experiments were performed on the maltose-water system. Contact nuclei formed grew at time-dependent rates initially, but exhibited constant growth rates at longer times. These results indicate that secondary nuclei may grow faster than larger crystals, observations not made in previous photomicroscopic studies.
