The Control and Inventory management is a challenging problem area in supply chain management. A good Control and Inventory management is a system that can fulfil customer demand, decrease inventory cost, increase ROI (Return of Investment), taking into consideration the non-linearity of process. This paper presents a comparative performance between conventional controller PID and intelligent controllers (FPID and PIDPSO). The optimized values of tuning parameters for PIDPSO was achieved from the optimization of Integral of Square of Error (ISE), by running a PSO (Particle Swarm Optimization) program. The effectiveness of the proposed controllers was demonstrated through simulation of data of an aerospace line assembly. By comparison, the performances of each controller, it was found that the PSO controller performed better than the Fuzzy controller and fuzzy gain scheduling. |
