In this first photograph the man sits relaxed his elbows jutting away from his sides upon wicker armrests his shiny shoes planted firmly —knees comfortably apart— on the ornate carpet spread before him.He wears a tie and a Western suit light-colored and with wide lapels. The folds of his left trouser leg are a ripple of shadow and light. Hiked high, his wide cuffs make him appear compact as if were he to stand up we would learn that he was short. |
