Popis:	Aftershock studies following the 2 August 1974 earthquake in McCormick County, South Carolina indicate continuing seismic activity with a pattern of increasing and decreasing seismicity near the Clark Hill reservoir. The shallow earthquakes have a predominantly strike slip motion, with the strike direction along the Appalachian trend. The activity appears to be associated with temporal velocity changes and bears several similarities to seismic activity near the Blue Mountain Lake area, New York.
