Popis: Being of wide concern and the most important factor to the public's daily life, food safety is becoming one of the most important social issues in China. An applied management and monitoring system would move the issue towards an ordered and benign development. This paper introduces the design and implementation of a monitoring system on food safety, which was designed by employing advanced international logistics patterns combined with the present situation of food safety management in China. The system has two major functions: chain line reflective tracking, and instant early warning. These functions are able to monitor and report the whole circulation link of food products from material collection to food consumption. Supported by an integrated data and management center, the system possesses logical layered managements and auto add-on `stamps and symbol' functions. To satisfy the demands of users from different departments and different layers, this system provides individualized functionalities. Moreover, the system includes such characteristics as easy distribution and updating, logical and layered construction, and complete functionality. Besides, one unique on-line international standard bar code generation technique is offered in this application. This cryptographic bar code technique gives users the rights of user-defined and user-criterion code rule to control and trace food product circulation.
