Despite the well-documented benefits of exercise, ageing women remain largely sedentary, and interventions designed to help them to maintain exercise programs may prove particularly valuable. The objective of the present study was to investigate the efficacy of regular exercise on various cognitive function parameters such as Mini Mental Scale examination (MMS-E), Orientation, Attention, Memory, Visuo Spatial ability, Verbal Fluency and Language in perimenopausal women. 60 healthy perimenopausal women (40-60 years) were divided into two groups which included 30 exercising women and 30 non exercising women. The total exercising time duration was for one hour, five times a week, for one year. The control group included 30 healthy non exercising women selected from the general population.
