Study by UV spectrometry of the reduction of Ni(II) ions in different zeolites

Popis:	Ni(II) ions in different zeolites have been reduced by hydrogen or carbon monoxide under mild conditions. In some cases Ni(I) ions appeared, whose concentration was related to the crystal field strength. By desorption at high temperatures Ni(I) ions disappeared probably by a reaction of disproportionation: 2Ni(I) → Ni(O) +_Ni(II).
