Popis: | Aneurysms of superior mesenteric artery (SMA) and its collateral branches are very rare, especially in pediatric patients, and most commonly caused by infections, inflammatory processes, or connective tissue diseases. The diagnosis can be made with color Doppler ultrasound (US), computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and digital subtraction angiography. We describe the case of a pediatric patient with a SMA aneurysm diagnosed by US and confirmed by contrast-enhanced CT and discuss its differential diagnoses. |
