Popis: The Mount Washington Icing Sensors Project (MWISP) of April 1999 was conducted to test remote sensing instruments for capabilities for detecting and sizing supercooled large droplets and measuring the dynamic processes such as gravity waves that may produce them. These drops are a primary aircraft icing hazard. Results from application of new radar and lidar technologies are examined.
