Popis: | A compact $1\times 2$ millimeter wave (mm-Wave) antenna array for 5G communication is presented in this work. The antenna is impedance matched over frequency range of 24–28 GHz. The design employs a low-loss Rogers RT 5880 laminate having 0.508 mm thickness. The bird-shaped metallic patch is etched on the substrate top-layer and is accompanied by a partial ground plane at rear-side of the miniaturized laminate. The design has an overall size of $15 \times 15.5\times 0.508\ \text{mm}^{2}$ . The antenna array reflection coefficient is below −10 dB and covers the whole mm-Wave band. The peak gain of $1\times 2$ elements antenna array is 7 dBi. The antenna array configuration can be employed for the 5G mm-Wave communication. |
