In this paper we present the results that have been obtained with an automated electronic instrumentation system for monitoring of strain and vibrations in a composite material board with embedded optical fibers. The objective of this study is to provide an electronic instrumentation reference for the interferometric measurements using optical fiber sensors. The main features of our system are the simultaneous multipoint strain and vibrations measurements which allows us real time data acquisition and processing.
