Popis: | Results of a rotordynamic analysis of a long-bearing squeeze e lm damper using a e uid circuit approach are presented. A series of nodes and branches represent the geometry of the e ow circuit. The mass and momentum conservation equations are solved to predict the pressure distribution in the squeeze e lm. The motion of the bearing issimulated by injection/removalofmass at thenodes. Themodeling methodology isbenchmarked against published experimental long-bearing squeeze e lm damper test results. The model provides good agreement with the experimental damping coefe cient. |
