Additional reactions of silane with ethylene or acetylene in the gas phase on metal oxides

Popis: In the reaction of silane with acetylene, MgO catalyzed the dehydrogenative coupling reaction to give ethynylsilane selectively, and ZrO 2 and SiO 2 -Al 2 O 3 catalyzed the hydrosilylation reaction to give vinylsilane. ZrO 2 showed high catalytic activity in the hydrosilylation reaction between silane and ethylene to produce ethylsilane. The acid and base properties of the oxides determined the selectivities of the reactions.
