Popis: | Measurements of the laminar flame speeds of n -butane/air mixtures with and without the addition of small amounts of hydrogen were made using a flat flame burner at atmospheric pressure. The ranges of measurement covered the equivalence ratio from 0.52 to 1.20, hydrogen enrichment of 0% to 6% (hydrogen-to-fuel mass ratio), and corrected initial temperature of 270–410 K. Over the range studied, the results can be fitted within an estimated error of ± 10% by the functional form u b (φ F ,R H ,T R ) u b (1.04,0,298) = u b (φ F ,0,298) u b (1.04,0,298) +2.18 R H T R 298 β(φ F ) where φ F is an effective fule/air equivalence ratio, R H indicates the relative amount of hydrogen addition, and β ( φ F ) = 2.05 + 1.4 ( φ F − 1). The values for the pure gases were in good agreement with previous experimental results. |
