Wireless body area networks become a new solution for electronic health application, which can be mainly deployed at the hospital to collect the information of patients. In this paper, we review some architecture or technology of cognitive radio body area networks (CR-BANs), which aims to deploy cognitive radio frameworks in WBANs to reduce interference amongst WBANs as well as maximize the spectrum usage. Different cognitive radio spectrum decision algorithms will be compared in qualitative in order to satisfy the requirements of e-Health applications. The advantages and disadvantages of CR-BAN are reviewed in terms of some issues and challenges. |
