Currently, the diagnosis of coronary artery disease is a long, expensive and sometimes invasive process consisting of numerous tests and may include catheterization and hospitalization of patients. The noninvasive nature of a magnetic resonance examination combined with excellent soft tissue contrast and ability to measure functional parameters may establish this modality as the key diagnostic tool for the assessment of coronary artery disease in the future. |
