Popis: A new approach to dynamic edge detection uses the order of passage over a triad of equidistant detectors to compute the direction and velocity of a translating edge. The paper examines a parallel architecture for extracting low and intermediate level intrinsic images from moving objects starting with this low complexity operator. The approach is entirely parallel and based on non-quantitative logic processing.
