This paper analyzes the operational modes of a double input buck/buck-boost fused converter for two different input voltage levels and to produce a controlled DC output under continuous conduction mode. The effects of two different inputs are decoupled to design the control topology for the system. The designed decoupled system is controlled with two isolated PI controllers to control the output voltage of the converter, and source current of the low voltage input. The developed controllers are analyzed in this work. The proposed control of the converter is implemented in the MATLAB-Simulink environment and the performances are analyzed. It is shown that the controller is able to maintain the reference output voltage in all operating conditions including 50% load increment in step. |
