This work presents a rad-hard 10-bit 3MS/s Resistor String DAC for space applications. The converter has been developed using radiation-hardened techniques both at circuit and layout levels starting from a known architecture. The design takes into account the different effects of the radiations that could damage the circuits in space environments. The DAC has been designed and integrated in a standard CMOS 0.13-μm technology by IHP. The target performances of the prototypes are Total Dose immunity up to 300krad(Si), the resiliency to latch-up up to 60MeV*mg/cm2 and SEU of 10MeV*mg/cm2 for the digital controlling section. |
