Industry 4.0 has been a frequently discussed topic in recent years. Although it is becoming increasingly popular, its firm definition is not yet given. Companies are today at a time of the next technological age. Using innovative technologies, companies can ensure the necessary efficiency, flexibility and, above all, competitiveness. With the continuous development of identification technologies, automated contactless scanning technology is becoming increasingly prominent. It is now clear that these technologies of the future will gradually replace all currently existing methods of identification. One such technology is also radio frequency identification (RFID). This technology based on radio waves can significantly simplify all parts of the production process. The article is focused on selected applications of Industry 4.0 elements into the existing concept of the railway environment with the aim of creating a Smart railway company concept. |
