Popis: Neurinomas, also called schwannomas according to Batsakis (1979), of the facial nerve are slow-growing, benign tumors [1], Within the last 60 years abut 200 cases have been reported. Most of the tumors arise from the intratemporal course of the facial nerve, preponderantly at the area of the geniculate ganglion [2, 3] or from the tympanomastoid portion [4, 5].
