To understand how the X-ray interferometer works, we describe in details how the Takagi-Taupin equations can be derived, from the basic elements of crystallography to the set of partial differential equations of hyperbolic type whose solutions predict the behaviour of the transmitted and reflected wave fields, even in the case of distorted crystals. We give some 3D examples, obtained by adequate MATHEMATICA ® notebooks, of their distribution in the last lamella of the x-ray interferometer. |
