Popis: | Laser-induced fluorescence spectroscopy (LIFS) was tested for detecting changes in fruit quality with respect to fruit pigment contents. The technique was non-destructively applied on sound market apple fruits (Malus domestica ‘Elstar’) for studying the influencing factors on measurements aiming the development of a fluorescence measuring routine to monitor fruit quality. For the same purpose, additional tests were made with homogenized apples and with their PE extracts. Such initial tests of LIFS application pointed out the difficulties of the method for analyzing fruit quality nondestructively. Several fruit pigments were differenced in the fluorescence spectrum. Additionally to the expected changes of fruit chlorophyll visible by red fluorescence, carotene was measured in the blue-green fluorescence spectrum by means of non-destructive readings at 402 nm, 430 nm and 458 nm in apple fruits. |
