Popis: | 28th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition; 212-215 The paper shows results of investigated c-Si(SC)/B-NCD heterostructures (crystalline Si Solar Cell/Boron-doped Nano Crystalline Diamond) grown on p-type Si Cz substrates. Such structure is designed for future creation of an active photo-electrode where the NCD layer plays important role against photo-corrosion and in combination with small PV array for voltage potential enhancement will create the water splitting system which the design is here proposed. A proper operation in sense of sufficient potential distribution by active substrate through the NCD layer is predicted by investigation of the minority carrier lifetime. The lifetime decrease after NCD deposition on p-type (100) mono-Si substrates (textured, after SDE or polished) has been solved either using boron symmetrical diffusion structures or by addition of SiNx on the bottom of the substrate before NCD deposition (barrier against contamination from the Mo substrate holder). The optical reflection in VIS and near IR spectra (380 – 1200 nm) has shown efficient light trapping even on structures grown on polished substrates. Compared AFM scans show the dependence of roughness of NCD layer under different growth conditions. A further solution is proposed for substrates based on n-type Si wafers also with the design of the water splitting equipment itself. |
