Detection of optical plasmons using an atomically-thin semiconductor

Popis: We demonstrate near-field electrical detection of silver nanowire plasmons with the atomically-thin semiconductor molybdenum disulfide. Our device exhibits plasmon-to-charge conversion efficiencies of 0.5 and plasmon reponsivities better than 250 mA/W.
