To evaluate the low dose CT images with considerations of the correlations inside a neighborhood, different IQMs (Image Quality Metrics) are applied in this paper. First, IQMs are checked by the LIVE (Laboratory for Image & Video Engineering) image database comprehensively. Then the IQMs are validated by phantom CT images with different dose levels. After the validation and analysis, the mutual information with MRF(Markov Random Field) and Ising model outperforms MSE, PSNR, SSIM and mutual information to assess the image quality of common images and low dose CT images. |
