This project is about the development of a three-wheel cricket bowling machine integrated with a fuzzy logic controller which acts as a substitute for the human bowler. The machine consists of three wheels that have been arranged 120 degrees between each other around the circumference of the ball. The fuzzy logic system automatically generates PWM signals to control wheel angular speed for each motor based on inputs selected by a user. The machine capable of bowling a cricket ball with an error of 0.423 m for the distance along the pitch, y by using gap size reduced by 1.5 cm at wheel speed of 1000 RPM. The result shows the accuracy of machine decreases when the average wheel angular speed increases e.g. the error of slow speed setting is 0.407 m while the error of medium setting is 3.861 m. The differences range for the distance along the pitch, y for vertical and horizontal spin settings is between 1.7 m to 3.2 m. |
