Popis: The fish fauna of Lake Veluwe is dominated by bream (on average 84% of total catch, maximally 690 kg fresh weight ha−1), followed by pikeperch (7.3%), roach (5.0%), perch (2.0%) and ruffe (1.8%). Four different interactions between fish and aquatic macrophytes are evaluated in this paper: (1) The consumption of submerged macrophytes by cyprinids, (2) the effect of planktivory, (3) the impact of predation on the periphyton-removing snails and (4) the effect of bioturbation by benthic feeding fish species.
