Popis: | The localization of the intracranial neural sources of the scalp recorded electroencephalographic (EEG) signals is a major research filed during the last two decades. Evoked Potentials (EPs) are EEG signals produced when external stimuli are presented to subjects. A novel tomographic technique is presented, based on the solution of the inverse electromagnetic problem, using Algebraic Reconstruction Techniques. The electrical activity of the brain is depicted in consecutive projection maps with a resolution of up to 1msec. Results of clinical applications of the method to EP measurements in a group of psychiatric patient and normal controls are presented. |
