Popis: | Type II diabetes mellitus -T2DM- is a metabolizing disease resulted when insulin deficiency. Mutations of tumour necrosis factor-α gene (TNF-α gene) is reminiscent of intervention with type of insulin-sensitive glucose utilization and cause resistance to insulin that leads to T2DM. Our work was aimed to evaluate the impact of TNF-α-308 G/A mutations and their relation to the establishment of T2DM in Iraqi people. In this study, DNA extraction and sequencing were carried out by using conventional polymerase chain reaction (PCR). A TNF-α-serum level with T2DM was evaluated by using ELISA technique. In this study, it seems that whatever A or G allele of TNF-α-308 mutation in the Iraqi people is related with the increasing of TNF-α productivity stills to be decided. It is noted that making of this cytokine (TNF-α) might be impacted by several mutations occurred in their gene as well as other immune-associated factors. In conclusion, TNF-α-308 G/A SNP in Iraqi people might be involved in genetic susceptibleness to T2DM. |
