Popis: SummaryThe indications and dosages of the various cytostatic drugs used in the treatment of lymphomas and reticuloses are discussed.Rontgen therapy remains the first choice treatment for this group of diseases. Chemotherapy is indicated only for specific clinical situations, such as mediastinal involvement with severe anoxia, compression of the spinal cord or widespread generalization. In acute mediastinal or spinal cord involvement, chemotherapy does not exacerbate the symptoms for this treatment does not increase, even temporarily, congestion of the lymph nodes. The indication for chemotherapy in widespread generalization is obvious.In circumscribed involvements, the cytostatic drugs are absolutely contra-indicated for they facilitate relapses « in situ » and shorten the duration of the disease. Moreover, improper chemotherapy inhibits patient’s auto-immunization. Finally, the cytostatic compounds are toxic to tissues with marked mitotic activity, such as the bone marrow and the gastro-intestinal tract....
