Popis:	The potential for gene therapy of some genetically based human diseases is given, then some fundamental background on the structure and mechanism of action of genes. Some important approaches to the delivery of genetic material to cells and some of the advantages and problems of this aspect of human disease treatment are outlined. Routes of administration for genetic material are briefly discussed.
