A flexible broadband Dielectric Resonator Antenna (DRA) for wearable applications is proposed in this work. The microstrip feed line Dielectric Resonator Antenna is designed on a rubber substrate to obtain large bandwidth characteristics. The DRA structure bends due to its flexibility and bendable characteristics, so it can be easily dressed in the wrist or other part of the body. The proposed DRA is designed to employ in the broadband range of 5.2GHz to 10.2GHz. The operating band has - 10dB impedance bandwidth is 64.9% (5.2-10.2GHz). The proposed bendable DRA has attained superior achievements in terms of return loss, gain, bandwidth and VSWR. The return loss of the proposed DRA is −48.06dB at 5.68GHz. The radiation pattern of the proposed flexible broadband DRA is explored. |
