Popis: Behavior of buckling for shell structure has been wide attention for absorption of impact energy(1). Both high strength and the ability to absorb energy during structural collapse are important factors for structural design in crush problems. The collapse analyses have been carried out analytically and experimentallym(2)–(4). Recently, numerical techniques have become available and computer simulation for collapse analysis has become very attractive(5),(6). Buckling and initial post-buckling behavior of cylindrical shells under axial compression have been studied. The behavior of thin-walled shells is sensitive to structural imperfection. A progressive plastic buckling has been presented for the cylindrical structure of thick-walled shell(7) and has been classified(8). Usually, the first peak load becomes maximum during the collapse process. It is necessary to decrease the first peak load in order to soften an impact.
