Popis:	The female, male, pupa and larva of Simulium (Simulium) putziciaense , n. sp. (Diptera: Simuliidac) are described based on specimens collected from small upland streams in Guatemala. This species very closely resembles S. (S.) anduzei from Mexico, but is readily differentiated from the latter by the branching of the pupal gill filaments.
